Signature Smiles Brings in New Orthodontist

One of the Greater Houston area’s top dental firms, Signature Smiles, has been providing braces for our patients for years with beautiful and lasting results. We are one of the area’s biggest providers of braces, whether traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, or Invisalign. In fact, we provide so many braces that we are actually a Premier Provider of Invisalign.

The demand for braces continues to remain high, and for good reason. Braces not only beautify your smile by straightening teeth, but they also help protect your teeth from decay. When teeth are gapped, misaligned or crooked, food particles can easily become trapped or missed. When this happens, the food particles create a bacterium called plaque. This plaque can eat through the protective layer on teeth called enamel. When this happens, cavities start making their way across the tooth and deep toward the root system.

Another reason for braces is to help with speaking and eating. Our orthodontists ensure that a patient’s teeth are properly aligned so that they do not experience any difficulty with speaking or eating.

PRESENTING DR. GARDNER

To keep up with the massive demand for orthodontics, Signature Smiles has recently brought on board Dr. Gary Gardner. Dr. Gardner has been working in orthodontics for 25 years and is highly successful. He was part of the US Army Dental Corps where he attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. He was soon named as the Chief of Orthodontics at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, and later the Director of Training and Clinical Orthodontics at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School in San Antonio. Altogether, he spent 21 years in service with the US Army.

Dr. Gardner is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the AAO Society of Orthodontic Educators, and the American Dental Education Association. He has also been a contributor of articles for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Angle Orthodontist.

We are very proud to have Dr. Gardner on our Signature Smiles team. He will assist in providing orthodontics for our team.
